The YLAI Fellowship Program is a six-week program for entrepreneurs, funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Since the initiative’s launch in 2015, more than 750 YLAI Fellows from Latin America and the Caribbean have expanded their leadership and entrepreneurial experience through fellowships at businesses and organizations across the United States. This program is open to young entrepreneurs 25-35 years of age, selected for participation via a competitive application process. Through the YLAI Entrepreneurial Leadership Curriculum and individualized professional placements, YLAI Fellows have accelerated their commercial and social ventures’ success and developed specific action plans to implement upon return to their home countries. YLAI Fellows built networks, linkages, and lasting partnerships to attract investments and support for their entrepreneurial ventures.

The 2021 Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) [https://ylai.state.gov/] campaign, which is themed “Trailblazers” provides an exclusive opportunity for young leaders to join the cohort of more than 750 entrepreneurs who have preceded. The sixteen predecessors from the Dutch Caribbean have increased economic prosperity and built stronger communities here on Aruba, Curacao, and Sint Maarten, and would welcome you as their future partners. You and your fellow YLAI Network members from the Caribbean will have access to new online courses and programs to help develop your leadership, business, and professional skills even after your program has concluded.

This is an opportunity to be part of a vibrant community of young entrepreneurs and changemakers from Latin America, Canada, and the Caribbean who are committed to fostering economic development and prosperity, security, human rights and good governance in the hemisphere. The YLAI Network is a signature part of the United States government’s efforts to increase partnerships with future leaders to help promote economic growth and strengthen civil society

Participation in the YLAI program will distinguishes you as a leader in your community and gives you access to the wonderful resources of the YLAI Network [https://ylai.state.gov/].
