The effectiveness of the police, prosecution, and judicial services in the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom of the Netherlands will be enhanced by furthering the existing cooperation. Strengthening of law enforcement and criminal justice system will structurally facilitate an increased effort to fight transnational organized and serious crime and terrorism.
It is the goal of this MoU to stimulate joint activities and enhance sharing of information in the area of criminal investigation and upholding public order and security and to strengthen mutual cooperation in the areas of forensics and the organization of the criminal justice system.
These efforts extend to Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the Caribbean parts of the Netherlands (the islands Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba).
