U.S. Consulate Announces Opportunity for Local Contractors

A Meet & Great Invitation Notice For Interested Parties.

The United States Government (USG) has an upcoming Design-Build for construction project at the United States (US) Consulate General in Curacao. The project will be competitively let (bid) to prequalified U.S. general contractors, followed by project award to a single, winning offeror in July 2022. The U.S. contractor may subcontract work to and procure materials from local construction firms, material suppliers and vendors. The project award to the U.S. contractor is expected to exceed US$130 million (ANG 232,588).

The Design-Build project is an expansion of the existing U.S. Consulate Compound. The scope includes a new multi-story Office Building, two new Compound Access Control Facilities, two new Support Annexes, renovation of the existing Consulate Building, new two-level Parking Garage, new Utility Building, and extensive site improvements. The site work includes planting, roadways, pedestrian paths, gardens, new pool, perimeter walls and fences.

You are cordially invited to attend a “Meet & Greet” session between bidding U.S. general contractors and interested local firms on the afternoon of January 10th.  These U.S. contractors will be in Curacao to gather project and local information to prepare their bid proposals to the U.S. Government, including local partners-subcontractors.  This “Meet & Greet” session will provide interested firms the opportunity to meet the U.S. bidding contractors and present their qualifications for subcontract work.

To attend the meeting, firms need to be knowledgeable in written and spoken English and possess all appropriate permits and licenses required to perform construction building services in Curacao.

The U.S. bidding contactors are solely responsible for the selection of their subcontractors.  This event is NOT a guarantee for work.  There will be no contractual relationship between the U.S. Government and any subcontractors.
